Toddler House Teacher

Full-time, Academic Year

The Toddler Teacher’s role is to guide children ages 18-months to 3 years towards independence in a nurturing and respectful environment.

The Montessori Toddler Teacher observes and makes adjustments to the environment when necessary based upon the needs of the children, their interest and periods of readiness. Working with toddlers requires a loving, nurturing and positive outlook towards the developing needs of young children, balanced with the ability to foster independence and allow for children to work through their own learning process within a safe and respectful classroom community. Upper Elementary Assistant Teacher

Full-time, Academic Year

The assistant teacher supports the Montessori lead teacher in guiding students’ daily activities based upon their interests and periods of readiness.

Teaching assistants require a positive, optimistic attitude about students, a cooperative spirit, an ability to nurture independence and to recognize each student’s individual learning style, and a commitment to respect the inner and outer work of the child.
