OPEN HOUSE  On Thursday, Feb. 18th, Heartwood will be open for visitors between 9am and 11am.  Please feel free to stop by and see what the students are doing in their rich, Montessori environments.  The teachers will be available to answer your questions.  If you arrive on the half hour, the Director will get you started on a tour. 

Reenrollment for current families and their sibblings starts February 1st.

A $200 family fee is due by February 15th to hold the space.

Admission/Tuition

You are invited to make an appointment to visit Heartwood Montessori School. Please call us to set up a convenient time or drop by 112 Byrum Street near the heart of Cary. We look forward to meeting you. Applications are accepted year-round.

You are welcome to download an application and mail it to the school, 112 Byrum Street, Cary, NC 27511 or fax it to 919 461-8386.  Heartwood Montessori School admits children without regard to race, color, gender, or national or ethnic origin. Please note that Heartwood is a peanut-free school due to student allergies.

Tuition Schedule for 2010-2011 School Year

*Limited availability for 3 yr. olds only

Applications are considered based on the following criteria:

Siblings of currently enrolled students and children of staff members are given first priority. Heartwood attempts to achieve an equal number of boys and girls and an age range balance in each classroom. Consideration is given to previous Montessori experience. New applications are reviewed in the order in which they were received.

Heartwood’s reenrollment period for families currently in the school begins in February. By the first week of March we will inform you if there is a space for your child for the upcoming school year. If there is no space at that time, you may continue your application for any mid-year availabilities if you so desire.

Notification of placement will be done through email. At that time a non-refundable application fee of $200 and a $450 tuition deposit are requested within one week.

Additional Cost Information

• Child Care is available for $5/hour. Child care is available from 7:30am - 8:15am and from 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm.
• Snack cost for 1/2 day is $80/yr
• Snack cost for full day is $90/yr
• Materials cost for Kindergarten is $50/yr
• Materials cost for Lower Elementary is $70/yr
• Materials cost for Upper Elementary and Middle School is $90/yr

Registration and Deposit Fees

• There is a non-refundable application fee of $200.
• A deposit of $450 is required at the time of acceptance.
